A Pair of 1879 & 1879-S Morgan Silver Dollars - A pair of 1879-S Morgan silver dollars struck in .900 silver. The obverse of each coin features the profile of Lady Liberty wearing a Phrygian cap with a ribbon inscribed LIBERTY, surrounded by the Latin phrase E PLURIBUS UNUM, the date 1879, and thirteen stars. The reverse depicts an eagle with outstretched wings clutching an olive branch and three arrows, encircled by a wreath and the inscriptions UNITED STATES OF AMERICA, ONE DOLLAR, and the motto In God we trust. A visible S mint mark is located on the reverse above the letters D and O in DOLLAR.
