1992-W US $1 White House 200th Anniversary Proof Silver Coin - A 1992-W United States White House 200th Anniversary proof silver dollar. Struck at the West Point Mint, the coin is composed of 90 percent silver and 10 percent copper. The obverse, designed by Edgar Z. Steever IV, features the North Portico of the White House with the commemorative dates 1792-1992 and the W mint mark. The reverse, designed by Chester Y. Martin, depicts a bust of architect James Hoban in front of the White House entrance. The coin is housed in a clear plastic capsule and presented in its original blue velvet-lined display case. The interior lid of the case features the Seal of the President of the United States and a silver-toned plaque inscribed with Proof.
