A Pair of 1884 Morgan Silver Dollars - This pair of 1884 United States Morgan silver dollars features the profile of Lady Liberty on the obverse. The design includes Liberty wearing a cap with wheat and cotton bolls, surrounded by the text E PLURIBUS UNUM, thirteen stars, and the date. The reverse of each coin depicts a heraldic eagle with outstretched wings, clutching an olive branch and arrows, encircled by the inscriptions UNITED STATES OF AMERICA, In God we trust, and ONE DOLLAR. These specimens are from the Philadelphia Mint as no mint mark is visible above the DOLLAR inscription on the reverse. The coins are composed of 90 percent silver.
