Bidspirit auction | A Collection of Fossil Shark

A Collection of Fossil Shark Teeth and Reptile Remains in a Glazed Display Case - This collection consists of fossilized fish and reptile remains sourced from the phosphate deposits of Khouribga, Morocco. The specimens are primarily shark teeth but also include vertebrae and ray teeth. Identified species include Lamna obliqua, Mosasaurus beaugei, Corax pristodontus, and various species of Odontaspis, Myliobatis, and Palaeophis. The fossils are mounted on a black interior surface with individual printed scientific nomenclature labels. A central bilingual label in English and French identifies the geographic origin and estimates the age of the specimens between 40 and 70 million years. The collection is housed in a light-finished wooden shadow box with a glazed front.
