A Collection of 1915 Rochester New York Athletic Award Medals and Watch Fobs - This collection consists of vintage athletic award medals and watch fobs dating to 1915, with several pieces originating from Rochester, New York. The assortment includes track and field awards and a basketball medal produced by Metal Arts and Bastian Bros. Co. One bronze-toned medal for the 120-yard hurdle event depicts an athlete clearing a hurdle on the obverse, with the reverse marked P.S.A.A.S.C. 1915 120 HURDLE and the Metal Arts Rochester N.Y. maker mark. This piece is attached to a black leather strap with a metal buckle. A silver-toned oval medal features the mythological figure Mercury on the obverse and is marked P.S.A.A.S.C. 1915 SHOT on the reverse for the shot put event, also attached to a leather watch fob strap. The collection also features a gold-toned octagonal basketball medal depicting a player with a ball, with the reverse engraved E.H.S. 15 and stamped Bastian Bros. Co. Rochester N.Y. This medal is suspended from a black grosgrain ribbon featuring a gold-toned watch swivel. A round silver-toned German skiing award is attached to the upper portion of the ribbon, depicting a downhill skier on the obverse and bearing the German inscription Mit Schwung fang an - mit Schwung hoer auf - das ist der schoenste Lebenslauf on the reverse.
