J.E. Caldwell Sterling Silver Weighted Table Lighter with Evans Insert - This table lighter set consists of a hexagonal weighted sterling silver base manufactured by J.E. Caldwell and a removable lighter mechanism by Evans. The sterling silver base features a hexagonal form with a recessed top to accommodate the lighter insert. The underside of the base is stamped with the marks J.E. CALDWELL, STERLING, WEIGHTED, and the number 666. One facet of the hexagonal body is engraved with the initials J.C.P. and the date 7-9-62. The removable lighter insert is constructed of plated metal and is marked on the bottom with EVANS USA above a company crest depicting two lions flanking a shield with EVANS inscribed below. The base of the insert features two screws, one of which is marked EVANS FUEL. Both components are of United States origin.
