A Pair of American Silver Co. Weighted Sterling Silver Candlesticks - This pair of low candlesticks is manufactured by the American Silver Co. of Bristol, Connecticut. Each piece is constructed from sterling silver over a weighted base for stability. The design features a bell-shaped candle cup set upon a short stem, which flares into a circular, stepped base. The underside of each base is stamped with the maker's mark consisting of the characters A.S.Co. within a pennant-shaped border. Below the pennant, the items are stamped with the words STERLING and WEIGHTED. Height: 3 1/2 inches Base Diameter: 2 3/4 inches.
