Mid-20th Century Japanese .950 Silver Scent Bottle - A mid-20th century scent bottle of flattened oval form, resembling a pilgrim flask. The body is decorated with hand-chased foliate scrollwork and features a central rectangular cartouche with a serrated border, which remains unmonogrammed. The bottle is topped with a screw-off, bullet-shaped cap that contains an integrated silver applicator rod. The base is stamped with the mark STERLING 950. This purity mark is characteristic of Japanese silver produced for the export market during the mid-century period. Weight: 0.419 ozt.
