Art Deco Silver-Toned Engine-Turned Cigarette Case with Foliate Border - This rectangular hinged cigarette case is designed in the Art Deco style. The exterior displays an engine-turned guilloche pattern consisting of alternating vertical bands of fine parallel lines and textured wave patterns. A central rectangular cartouche is positioned in the middle of the front panel and is currently unengraved. The edges of the case are finished with a chased foliate scrolling border. It features a push-button thumbpiece release. The interior is decorated with a circular engine-turned perlage finish and contains a hinged, openwork metal retaining bar. No hallmarks, maker marks, or metal purity stamps are visible on the interior or exterior surfaces. 4 inches x 3 inches.
