Description:

David Andersen Willy Winnaess Norwegian Sterling Silver and Blue Guilloche Enamel Leaf Brooch
This mid-century Scandinavian modern brooch is a production of the Norwegian firm David-Andersen, designed by Willy Winnaess. The piece is crafted from 925 sterling silver and features a stylized four-leaf spray motif in a fan-like arrangement. Each leaf is decorated with translucent cobalt blue guilloche enamel over an engine-turned textured ground. The reverse of the brooch is stamped with the David-Andersen scales mark, D-A, 925S, STERLING, NORWAY, and the encircled W mark for Willy Winnaess. The item is fitted with a horizontal pin and a rollover safety clasp.
Width: 1.5 inches (38 mm).

The enamel shows a visible chip and loss on the surface of one leaf. Minor surface scratches are present on the remaining enamel sections. The silver reverse exhibits significant tarnish and patina consistent with age. The pin mechanism and safety catch are intact and functional.
