A Collection of Glass Bottle Blowers Association Convention Memorabilia 1913-1918 - This professionally framed commemorative display contains ephemera and medals related to the Glass Bottle Blowers Association (GBBA) of the United States and Canada. The central feature is a green felt pennant from the 1913 National Convention in Marion, Indiana. The pennant is decorated with white screen-printed graphics including the letters B, B, G, and A surrounding a central glass bottle and crossed blowpipes. Below the graphics, the text reads GLASS BOTTLE BLOWERS ASSN. OF U.S. AND CAN. NATIONAL CONVENTION 1913 MARION IND. The display also includes two 42nd Annual Convention medals from the 1918 meeting in Zanesville, Ohio. These medals feature gold-tone header plates with handwritten paper inserts identifying the original owners as Helger A. Ahl and Mrs. Beulah Ahl of Shinglehouse, Pennsylvania. The medallions depict the GBBA logo, the New Y Bridge, and American and British flags suspended from red and white silk ribbons. Additionally, the set contains two 37th Annual Convention delegate badges from the 1913 Marion, Indiana, convention. These are of three-part brass construction linked by chains, featuring a top bar embossed DELEGATE, a middle bar with convention details, and a decorative shield medallion with blue, white, and red enamel work. The items are mounted against a black velvet backing in a black wooden frame. The reverse is sealed with brown paper and includes a yellow sticker noting a 1992 purchase in Rochester. 32 1/8 inches x 16 1/4 inches.
