Early American Olive Green Glass Cornucopia and Urn Pictorial Flask - This mold-blown historical flask is a McKearin GIII-4 pattern, produced in deep olive green glass that appears nearly black in the thickest sections. The obverse depicts a relief-molded cornucopia overflowing with fruit, while the reverse features a floral-filled urn or basket. The flask is designed in a flattened oval shape with vertically ribbed sides. It features a short, slightly tapered neck with a plain, finished lip. The base shows a prominent, rough circular open pontil scar, characteristic of early 19th-century mouth-blown production. This style of flask is attributed to glassworks in the Northeastern United States, including locations such as Coventry, Connecticut, or Kensington, Pennsylvania, dating approximately from 1820 to 1840.
