Large Pennsylvania Art Glass Walking Stick with Latticinio Spirals - This item is a hand-blown art glass walking stick or cane originating from a Pennsylvania estate. It is attributed to glasshouses in Shinglehouse or Roulette, Pennsylvania. The piece features internal spiraled decoration in the latticinio style, consisting of alternating bands of cobalt blue, oxblood red, and opaque off-white glass threads encased in a clear ground. The form consists of a long, tapering shaft and a spherical knob handle where the colored glass filaments meet at the top. No maker marks or signatures are visible on the piece.
