A Pair of Vintage Orange Crush Embossed Metal Chalkboard Menu Signs by DONASCO - This lot features two original embossed metal chalkboard menu signs produced for Orange Crush. These signs were manufactured by the Donaldson Art Sign Company (DONASCO) of Covington, Kentucky, and are specifically dated January 1973. Each sign is constructed of tin with a vibrant orange upper section featuring embossed branding and a black chalkboard lower section intended for handwritten daily specials. The first sign features the Orange Crush logo in stylized green block letters outlined in white, accompanied by a graphic of white orange blossoms with green leaves. The chalkboard section currently displays a handwritten Welcome message. The second sign features a variation of the logo with the word Drink in a green banner above the Orange Crush brand name. Its chalkboard section lists a menu of items including hamburgers and hot dogs with period-accurate pricing. Both signs bear the manufacturer mark DONASCO COV KY 1-73 on the lower right edge of the chalkboard area. Additional text on the lower border identifies Crush as a registered trademark of Crush International Inc., Evanston, Illinois. The number 1120 is printed in the lower left corner of the top sections. The reverse side of one sign has an olive-drab finish, while the other is finished in green. 19 inches x 13.5 inches.
