A Collection of Four Amphora Czechoslovakian Art Pottery Vessels - This lot consists of four pieces of glazed earthenware art pottery produced by the Amphora factory in Czechoslovakia during the early 20th century. The collection includes a matching pair of large Art Deco style vases featuring a textured basket-weave body finished in a buff and yellow matte glaze with blue wash highlights. These vases are designed with two large circular rope-twist handles and a corded foot finished in a deep cobalt blue glaze. A central horizontal band on each vase contains rectangular panels with relief-molded stylized floral and abstract motifs in blue, white, yellow, and rose-pink glazes. Also included is a small ovoid vase with a textured yellow beaded ground, decorated with a central band depicting a stylized bird in flight and floral motifs in black and blue glazes. The fourth piece is a small rounded bowl with an inverted rim, featuring a cream-colored textured ground and a band of stylized birds and floral sprays in low relief with polychrome glazes. Bases are marked with blue oval stamps reading Amphora and Made in Czechoslovakia. The small vessels include incised model numbers 15095 and 15100. Large vases: Approximately 12 inches in height.
