A Collection of Seven Joseph Mrazek Peasant Art Industry Hand Painted Ceramic Items - This lot consists of seven pieces of hand-painted earthenware produced by the Peasant Art Industry, founded by Joseph Mrazek in Czechoslovakia. The assembly includes a pedestal fruit bowl, a large round bowl, a shallow scalloped bowl with a yellow interior, a small lidded bowl with two lug handles, a circular lidded jar with a loop handle, and two circular decorative tiles. Each piece is decorated with vibrant floral motifs in a palette of orange, red, yellow, blue, purple, and green. Several items feature a dark or black ground, while the interiors are finished in bright yellow or cream glazes. The bases of five items bear a circular blue underglaze stamp reading Peasant Art Industry and Made in Czechoslovakia surrounding a stylized cursive signature for J. Mrazek. Hand-painted blue marks are present on several pieces, including 671, 416. K, 408. K, 1217, and 517 K. An incised circular mark is visible on the base of the pedestal bowl. One tile features a red felt backing.
