A 7-Piece Mrazek Peasant Art Industry Ceramic Beverage Set - This 7-piece ceramic beverage set was manufactured by the Mrazek Peasant Art Industry in Czechoslovakia. The set is composed of one lidded teapot and six coordinating mugs. Each piece is constructed of earthenware with a hand-painted finish. The exterior decoration features multi-colored floral medallions in shades of orange, yellow, pink, and blue with green foliage, set against a sponged cobalt blue ground. The teapot features a bulbous body with a short integrated black spout, a wide black strap handle, and a flat lid with a round black knob. The six tapered mugs each have an angular black handle. The interiors of all pieces are finished in a pale yellow glaze. The base of each item bears a circular blue underglaze stamp with the text PEASANT ART INDUSTRY and MADE IN CZECHOSLOVAKIA surrounding a stylized Mrazek script signature. Additionally, the mugs are marked with the hand-painted alphanumeric code 260. A and the teapot is marked 270. A.
