Small 1800s Shaker Wood and Iron Bucket - This small 1800s Shaker bucket is constructed of wooden staves in a tapered, coopered form. The vessel is reinforced with two flat iron bands secured by iron rivets. It features a wire bail handle with a central turned wooden grip, attached to the body via two diamond-shaped iron ears riveted to the exterior. The exterior surface retains remnants of an old dark red or brown painted finish, now heavily distressed. The interior remains an unfinished, aged wood surface. Base diameter: 4.5 inches Height to rim: 5.5 inches.
