Victorian Chromolithograph Trade Card and Scrapbook Album, c. 1876 - One Victorian-era scrapbook containing a collection of chromolithographic trade cards and decorative die-cut scraps. The album is bound in red cloth-covered boards. The front cover features gold-gilded ornamentation depicting a large windmill, a smaller windmill in the distance, and foliage with the word ALBUM in decorative script. The back cover is blind-embossed with a central fleur-de-lis motif and corner decorations, with text at the bottom reading PAT MARCH 1876. The interior contains numerous late 19th-century advertising cards for American companies including Singer Sewing Machine Co., Clark's O.N.T. Spool Cotton (depicting Niagara Falls), Scott's Emulsion, Ayer's Cathartic Pills, Hoyt's German Cologne, Warner Bros. Coraline, Mica Axle Grease, and various stove manufacturers such as Andes, Sterling, and Invincible. Ephemera also includes a Reward of Merit bookmark and various floral and figural die-cuts.
