Early 20th Century Postcard Album Featuring Halloween and Christmas Holiday Greetings - This lot consists of one 1900's Post Card Album containing an extensive assortment of vintage postcards predominantly dating from 1900 to 1930. The collection features a significant selection of holiday ephemera, most notably a Stecher Halloween card from Series 332c depicting a witch playing a mandolin accompanied by a black cat and owl. Other holiday subjects include Christmas scenes by Ellen Clapsaddle, embossed Valentine's Day cards by John Winsch and A.F. Avery, and an Uncle Sam New Year card by Arthur Horwitz. The album also contains topographical views such as Main Street in Kenosha, Wisconsin; the Mississippi River at Davenport, Iowa; and various scenes from Elmira, New York, and Kiowa County, Kansas. Real photo postcards (RPPC) are present, including portraits of children and women on horseback identified as Edna and Moonlight. Advertising cards for the New Home Sewing Machine Co. and Tiffany Music House are included. Many specimens are postally used with legible postmarks ranging from 1905 to 1922, frequently addressed to Miss Blanche Owen. The materials are confirmed as a 1900's Post Card Album.
