Mounted 16th Century Style Wax Seal Impression Convent of St Anna Haarlem - A single sigillography specimen consisting of a dark green wax seal impression mounted on a collector card. The vesica-shaped impression represents the seal of the Convent of St. Anna (Sint-Annahofje) of the Third Order in Haarlem, Netherlands. The central imagery depicts a standing figure, identified as St. Anne, positioned beneath a detailed Gothic architectural canopy. The wax contains a Latin legend around the border, with visible characters including SIGILLVM and HARLE. The seal is affixed to a square, tan-colored heavy cardstock mount featuring handwritten identification in black ink. Annotations on the top left read Ao 1570. / convent zL. Annotations on the top right read Haarlem / convent / St Anna / 3e orde. The bottom of the card contains a transcription of the seal legend: R. / SIGILLV . MONASTERII - SORORVM - SANC / TIFISSIME --------- ANNEE .. HARLE ----.
