1744 Dutch Heraldic Wax Seal Impression of Pieter de la Court Scholten van Aschat Collection - This 18th-century heraldic wax seal impression is of Dutch origin and features the armorial bearings of the de la Court family. The seal is composed of a greenish-gray wax and is mounted on a dual-layered collector card. The central roundel displays a shield containing three pheons pointing downward, enclosed by ornate scrollwork. The name DE LA COURT is embossed into the wax legend along the upper perimeter. The mounting card contains multiple ink inscriptions, including the date 1744 and the name de la Court Mr Pieter. A small paper tag is also attached to the mount, inscribed with the name and date. The bottom left of the card bears a purple ink stamp for Col; Scholten . v . Aschat, identifying the item as part of the former collection of Colonel J.H. Scholten van Aschat (1854–1925), a prominent Dutch collector of coins and seals. The bottom right is marked CZ. 212 in ink, while the reverse features pencil notations reading Pl 46 and 3/6.
