Dutch Heraldic Wax Seal Fragment Attributed to Johan van der Nijenburgh Dated 1654 - This item is a fragmentary dark brown wax seal from the 17th century, associated with the Dutch Van der Nijenburgh family. The seal is attached to an irregular fragment of original paper or vellum, which is secured to a yellow cardstock support by a narrow paper strip. The wax impression features heraldic charges consistent with the family coat of arms, though the right portion of the seal is absent. Handwritten annotations in ink on the cardstock and the paper strip provide historical context. The top of the card is inscribed v. d. Nijenburgh and Mr. Johan. The date 1654 is written on the middle-left. A paper strip over the seal reads Mr. Johan v. d. Nijenburgh 1654 Januar.
