NL 1696 Wax Seal Impression, Mr. Willem Cromhout - This historical wax seal impression is mounted on a square paper identification card. The dark brown wax obverse features a central heraldic coat of arms surrounded by a circular legend, though the details are heavily worn and the characters are largely illegible. The reverse of the seal, visible through a circular aperture in the card, displays a secondary square mark with the incised letters P and V. The mounting card contains extensive handwritten Dutch inscriptions. The upper portion is marked 1696 and Cromhout over Mr. Willem. A small paper strip adhered to the card also bears the name Mr. Willem Cromhout and the date 1696 in faded purple ink. Lower notations include gw: 1-4, 2-3, and Ht: followed by shorthand referencing denominations such as gulden. A purple stamp at the bottom reads Arm Gen Blz, with 101.
