Dutch Heraldic Wax Seal Impression, Cornelis Colterman, 1806 - This item is a heraldic wax seal impression attributed to Cornelis Colterman, dated 1806. The circular seal is composed of dark wax and features a quarterly coat of arms with distinct charges in each quadrant. It is mounted on a buff-colored collector card using a horizontal paper strip threaded through a circular cutout. The card contains several handwritten and stamped identifiers. Handwritten in the upper right is Colterman Cornelis and in the upper left is the date 1806. The lower right corner features the notation C.Z. 202. A faint purple collection stamp along the bottom edge reads Coll. Scholten v. Aschat, indicating provenance from the Dutch Scholten van Aschat family collection.
