Maria Theresa, Empress. Official Manuscript Document on Parchment. Brussels, April 3, 1767. (Signed) - This official manuscript document is a three-page folio executed on parchment, dated April 3, 1767. The administrative act is issued in the name of Empress Maria Theresa (1717–1780) and is written in Dutch. The text begins with a formal header transcribing as Maria Theresia by de gratie Godts followed by a comprehensive list of her titles, including Empress Dowager and Queen of Hungary and Bohemia. The content concerns financial matters within the Austrian Netherlands. The document concludes with a location and date statement identifying it was given within the city of Brussels (gegeven binnen onse stadt Brussele). It is signed at the conclusion by a secretary, Delahaye. The first page features a prominent blue ink revenue or tax stamp in the upper left corner within a decorative cartouche. This mark consists of a central crown over a shield depicting a lion rampant, flanked by the characters 6 and G, with the date 1767 below and the numbers 9 and 11 at the top. A handwritten notation Romy appears just beneath the stamp, along with a pencil inventory number F-627. The document consists of a large sheet folded to form a folio.
