Heraldic Wax Seal Impression of Willem Eggert Lord of Purmerend on Collector Mount - This item is a red wax seal impression mounted on a square of coarse tan fiberboard, likely produced as a collector specimen in the 19th or early 20th century for historical or heraldic study. The impression features the armorial achievement of Willem Eggert (c. 1360–1417), a Dutch statesman and financier who served as an advisor to Count William VI and was the first Lord of Purmerend. The central heraldic design depicts a tilting helm in profile with elaborate mantling and a crest. A legend in Gothic blackletter script runs around the perimeter of the circular seal, reading S' WILHELMI EGGHERT DNI PURMERENDE (Seal of William Eggert, Lord of Purmerend). The mount contains several handwritten and printed notations. The upper left is dated 1410, the year Eggert was granted his lordship. The upper right is inscribed Eggert Willem Hr. v. Purmeren.
