Early 18th Century Mounted Heraldic Wax Seal for Daniel Baert Dated 1720 and 1726 - This item consists of an archival mounting of a heraldic wax seal attributed to Daniel Baert. The dark wax seal is affixed to a heavy buff-colored card stock with a paper strip reinforcement. The armorial crest features a shield with three indistinct charges, possibly stars or roses, surmounted by a barred helmet with ornate, scroll-like mantling and a star-shaped crest. The card stock contains several manuscript and stamped notations. At the top left is the handwritten date 1726. The top right is inscribed Baert. Mr Daniel. A paper strip attached above the seal is inscribed Mr Daniel Baert 1720. The bottom left features a stamped mark reading Arm Gen - Blz, which likely refers to Armorial General - Bladzijde (Dutch for page), indicating the item was once part of a systematic heraldic register such as those compiled by Johannes Rietstap.
