FR 1706 Francois de Vicq Heraldic Wax Seal Impression - This item is a heraldic wax seal impression dated 1706, attributed to Francois de Vicq. The obverse features a coat of arms with a central shield, mantling, and a crest. A partial legend is visible at the lower edge, containing the characters V, I, C, and Q. The item is secured within a circular cut-out on a vintage cardstock mount. The mount includes the handwritten identification de Vicq / Francois and the date 1706. The reverse is largely obscured by the mounting medium and cardstock. Provenance is indicated by the printed text Col; Scholten. v. Aschat and the handwritten reference OZ 202. The back of the mount features a decorative lithographed border with botanical motifs. The de Vicq family was a prominent lineage in the Low Countries during the 18th century.
