Circa 1600-1700. - This item is a large-format, multi-sealed legal manuscript document on vellum or parchment originating from Freiburg im Breisgau, Germany. The document is written in a professional German Kurrent hand in brown ink on a single large sheet. It features a decorative flourished border on the left margin and a large calligraphic header in ornate Fraktur script reading In dem Namen der heiligen Unteilbaren dreyfältigkeit Amen seybekhund. The text identifies the primary parties as Jacob Schörner and Eva Würthg and references various legal entities including advocates, syndics, and the University. The document includes several parchment tags extending from a folded bottom flap which hold multiple pendent seals. Several wooden protective skippets remain attached, some containing dark green or black wax seals with heraldic crests and circumscriptive legends, while others are empty or contain damaged wax.
