Mounted Wax Seal Impression of the City of Haarlem Netherlands Dated 1553 - A mounted wax seal impression serving as a historical collector reference cast. The item features the heraldic seal of the City of Haarlem, Netherlands. The dark green wax impression depicts the Haarlem coat of arms, consisting of a central shield with a vertical sword, a small cross above the point, and four six-pointed stars. The shield is surmounted by a crest in the form of a bust. The border of the seal contains the raised Latin inscription S. CIVITATIS . HAERLEMENSIS. The seal is mounted to a square buff-colored card stock mount featuring handwritten identification in black ink. The notations include Ao 1553 at the top left, Haarlem at the top right, and a transcription of the seal legend at the bottom.
