The seal represents the Classikaal Bestuur der Hervormde Kerk (Classical Board of the Reformed Church) for the city of Assen, Netherlands. The central motif depicts an allegorical seated female figure holding an open Bible and leaning against an anchor, with a cross behind her. To the left, a pedestal is inscribed with the dates 1572 and 1813, topped by a radiant heart. A small heraldic shield featuring a lion rampant is positioned at the top center.
