Vintage Taxco Mexico FMN Sterling Silver Sun Face Brooch Pendant - A vintage Mexican sterling silver brooch that also functions as a pendant. The circular piece features a central sun face in relief with undulating rays and a rectangular mouth showing teeth. The central design is set against an oxidized, darkened background and is enclosed by a geometric fretwork border. The reverse is equipped with a hinged pin and safety clasp as well as a stationary bail for use with a chain. The reverse is stamped with a circular mark reading TAXCO MEXICO 925 around the initials FMN. Adjacent to this is an Eagle 3 hallmark, a Mexican government standard used from approximately 1948 to the late 1970s. Diameter: 1.5 inches Weight: 0.434 ozt.
