Antique Folding Mustache Comb with Fob Chain - An antique folding mustache comb and coordinating fob chain. The rectangular folding case is constructed from bi-color metal, featuring silver-toned panels with gold-filled or gold-washed accents. The exterior is decorated with engine-turned linear patterns and scrolled foliate borders, surrounding a central unengraved diamond-shaped cartouche. The case opens on a bottom hinge to reveal a dark amber-colored comb crafted from a natural material, likely horn or tortoiseshell. Attached to the top of the case via a swivel clasp is a fine gold-toned metal chain terminating in a tapered, wedge-shaped fob. The fob is decorated with engraved concentric circle and scroll motifs.
