US Danbury Mint 1878 Morgan Silver Dollar Gold First Year of Issue Tribute Bar - Commemorative bicolor tribute bar produced by The Danbury Mint. The piece features a silver-toned circular medallion displaying the 1878 US Morgan Silver Dollar obverse design centered within a rectangular gold-plated frame. The frame is decorated with ornate high-relief scrollwork and stylized ribbons bearing the inscriptions MORGAN SILVER DOLLAR and FIRST YEAR OF ISSUE. The numbers 18 and 78 are prominently featured in the lower corners of the frame. The bar is housed in a clear protective acrylic capsule and presented in a cherry-finished wooden display box with a blue felt-lined interior.
