Vintage Sterling Silver Amethyst and Marcasite Filigree Bar Brooch - This sterling silver bar brooch features a central oval-cut purple gemstone, identified as an amethyst, measuring approximately 10mm by 8mm. The gemstone is housed in a scalloped bezel at the center of a symmetrical openwork filigree frame. The scrolling sections of the brooch are accented with numerous small, round-faceted marcasite stones set into the silver work. The reverse side is stamped with a 925 hallmark, confirming its sterling silver composition. The brooch is fitted with a horizontal pin and a rollover safety clasp.
