Illinois Watch Co. Art Deco 14 Karat SOLID Gold Ladies Wristwatch - An Art Deco era ladies mechanical manual wind wristwatch by the Illinois Watch Co. The timepiece features a tonneau shaped 14 karat solid gold case manufactured by the Keystone Watch Case Company with decorative engraving on the bezel. The rectangular champagne toned dial is textured and displays black Arabic numeral hour markers within a railroad style minute track, signed ILLINOIS below the 12 o clock position. It is powered by a manual wind movement, grade 807A, containing 17 jewels. The watch is fitted with an ornate, floral engraved link bracelet made by Gemco. The movement is marked with serial number 5583974 and the case bears number 20191. Hand scratched jeweler service mark 9011 L is visible on the interior case back. Dial: ILLINOIS Inside Case Back: MODEL # 168., snowflake symbol, KEYSTONE (in a banner), 14K (in a hexagon), a keystone symbol with a C inside, and 20191. Movement: ILLINOIS, 17 JEWELS, 807A, 5583974. Bracelet: GEMCO, 1/10 14K GOLD FILLED. Case size: 26mm length (excluding lugs) x 16mm width (excluding crown). The watch is in vintage as found condition and does not run. The mechanical movement will require professional servicing or repair. Visible tarnish and oxidation are present on the gold surfaces. The dial shows a noticeable aged patina with spotting throughout. The crystal exhibits light surface wear and scratches consistent with age.
