Vintage Micronta Quartz Chrono-Alarm Digital Wristwatch with Speidel Expansion Band - This is a vintage digital wristwatch produced under the Micronta brand, a private label for Radio Shack and distributed by Tandy/Intertan. The watch features a quartz movement and a black dial face with a rectangular LCD display. The display provides time, seconds, and day-of-the-week indicators. The upper dial is marked Quartz Chrono-Alarm and the lower portion is marked Micronta Water 100' Resist. Functional labels around the perimeter include Light, Mode, Month/Date, Start/Stop, Select, Lap/Reset, and Alarm/Set. The construction consists of a base metal bezel and a stainless steel case back. The case back is stamped with Metal Bezel Custom, Stainless Steel Back, For Tandy/Intertan, and Mfd. in China. Hand-engraved initials J. W. N. are visible in the center of the case back. The timepiece is fitted with a period-correct stainless steel Speidel expansion band, with links stamped Speidel and the end link marked Stainless Steel U.S.A. The watch runs with a new battery. There is significant oxidation, pitting, and surface corrosion visible on the metal case, specifically around the four pushers and the bezel edges.
