The gilt full-plate movement is engraved with Safety Pinion and movement serial number 4170271, dating production to approximately 1891. The watch features a key-wind and key-set configuration. The white porcelain enamel dial is signed Elgin Natl Watch Co. and displays black Roman numeral hour markers, an outer minute track, a subsidiary seconds dial at the 6 o clock position, and blued steel spade hands. The open-face case is made of Silveroid, a nickel-silver alloy, and is marked with case serial number 8456356.
