Illinois Watch Co. A. Lincoln Grade 21 Jewel 16s Gold Filled Open Face Pocket Watch - Illinois Watch Co. open-face pocket watch, grade A. Lincoln, circa 1909. This 16-size timepiece features a manual wind, lever-set movement with 21 jewels and a double roller. The nickel-finished movement is decorated with decorative damaskeening and is adjusted to five positions. Movement markings include A. Lincoln, ILLINOIS WATCH CO., SPRINGFIELD., ADJUSTED 5 POSITIONS, 21 JEWELS, and serial number 2102527. The white porcelain enamel dial displays black Arabic hour numerals, a subsidiary seconds dial at the 6 o'clock position, and an outer track with red five-minute markers. The dial is signed in cursive script Illinois Watch Co and has blued steel hands. The watch runs. It is housed in a yellow gold-filled Keystone J. Boss case guaranteed for 20 years. The case interior is stamped with a scales logo and serial number 5535646. Several hand-scratched service marks are visible inside the case back, including W E R 9 and 14917.
