Italian Vintage 12K Gold Filled and Intaglio Carved Tiger's Eye Scarab Brooch - This vintage Italian-made brooch features a large oval tiger's eye quartz cabochon, intaglio-carved with a stylized, geometric scarab beetle motif. The stone exhibits characteristic golden-brown chatoyancy and features additional linear incisions on the reverse. The gemstone is secured in a yellow gold-filled frame characterized by a double-row twisted wire inner border and an outer scalloped openwork decorative edge. The reverse is fitted with a horizontal pin stem and a revolving safety catch. A small applied rectangular metal plaque on the reverse is stamped with the marks ITALY and 1/20-12K.
