US Buffalo Nickel Collection 1913-1938 in Whitman Folder No. 9008 - A collection of US five-cent coins, commonly referred to as Buffalo or Indian Head nickels, housed in a blue Whitman-style coin folder labeled Buffalo Nickel Collection 1913 to 1938, No. 9008. The assortment contains copper-nickel pieces with visible dates including 1920, 1926, 1927, 1928, 1929, 1930, 1934, 1935, 1936, 1937, and 1938. Mint marks present include D for Denver. The obverse features the James Earle Fraser design of a Native American man in right-facing profile with the inscription LIBERTY. The reverse design, which is obscured by the folder mounting, traditionally depicts an American bison. The folder includes printed mintage figures for each date and mint mark combination. The coins have a standard diameter of 21.2 mm and a composition of 75 percent copper and 25 percent nickel.
