Italian Carved Shell Cameo Brooch-Pendant in Sterling Silver - An Italian hand-carved shell cameo brooch-pendant bezel-set in a sterling silver frame. The oval cameo depicts a left-facing profile of a young woman with elaborately styled hair featuring floral accents, a single-strand necklace, and a draped bodice. The carving displays a creamy white relief against a warm orange background typical of carnelian shell. The mounting features a decorative rope-twist border and is equipped with a horizontal pin stem, a revolving safety clasp, and a fixed bail for wear as a pendant. The reverse lower edge of the frame is stamped with 925, ITALY, and an Italian registration mark. Height: 1.5 inches (38 mm) excluding bail.
