Wenger, Joseph and David Hartman. A Collection of Hymns. Joseph Wenger and David Hartman, 1847. - This mid-19th-century antiquarian volume is a Mennonite hymnal, identified on the spine as the Mennonite Hymn Book. The copyright page indicates it was entered according to the Act of Congress in 1847 by Joseph Wenger and David Hartman in the office of the Clerk of the District Court for the Western District of Virginia. This small-format volume is bound in full dark brown leather with gold-stamped text on the spine. The interior text begins with a Preface discussing the ordinance of divine worship through singing, followed by the primary section titled A Collection of Hymns under the heading Public Worship.
