Vintage Western 1889 Morgan Silver Dollar Bolo Tie - A Western-style bolo tie featuring an authentic United States 1889 Morgan Silver Dollar as the central slide. The silver coin is secured in a gold-toned circular bezel with a decorative beaded border. The slide is mounted on a two-tone braided metallic cord in silver and gold tones. The tie is finished with gold-toned ribbed metal tips terminating in spherical finials. The coin obverse is marked E PLURIBUS UNUM and LIBERTY with the date 1889. Portions of the coin reverse are visible through the slide clasp, including the letters AM and ER. No maker marks or metal fineness stamps are visible on the hardware components. Slide diameter: 1.75 inches Total length: 36 inches. Good vintage condition. The braided metallic cord shows heavy wear, fraying, and loss of metallic finish throughout. The silver coin shows circulation wear and natural toning. The gold-toned bezel and tips exhibit light surface scratches and minor tarnish consistent with age and use.
