Visible markings include the number 10, indicating the size, and one thimble is stamped with the patent date PAT MAR 12 84. This patent for thimble construction is historically associated with the American firm Simons Bros. Co. of Philadelphia. The items show a natural silver patina with varying degrees of tarnish.
