A Pair of Modernist Sterling Silver Lapis Lazuli and Malachite Articulated Clip-On Earrings - A matched pair of modernist geometric clip-on earrings crafted in sterling silver. Each earring features an articulated ladder construction consisting of five graduated horizontal bars connected by small hinges to allow for movement. The bars are inlaid with alternating segments of natural stone, including three bars of blue lapis lazuli and two bars of banded green malachite. The earrings display a tapered, trapezoidal silhouette and are equipped with clip-on backings. The reverse of the bottom bar on each earring is stamped with the hallmark 925. Length: 1.25 inches Width at widest point: 0.75 inches. Good vintage condition. The silver surfaces show light wear, minor surface scratches, and natural oxidation consistent with age. The stone inlays are intact and secure within the settings. The articulated hinges and clip-on mechanisms are fully functional.
