Antique Naga Style Beaded Fringe Necklace with Tubular Reed and Glass Beads - An antique beaded fringe ornament, constructed with a woven fiber header band from which hang approximately twenty-five decorative strands. A central section of each strand features a long, straight, tubular bead fashioned from a naturally yellowed plant stalk or reed. The fringes terminate in large, amber-colored teardrop-shaped glass pendant beads. The materials and construction style resemble traditional jewelry from the Konyak Naga people of Northeast India. The textile header band shows fraying at the edges and a general patina from age. One central tubular reed bead is broken and missing a section. Most other beads and strands appear intact and secure.
