Early 20th Century Tiffany & Co. Leather Presentation Case - This antique presentation case was produced by Tiffany & Co. for the containment of a medal, large jewelry piece, or high-end desk accessory. The exterior is finished in a black pebble-grained leather. The interior is lined with green silk on the inner lid and a deep green velvet on the base. A gold-tone stamp on the silk lining identifies the maker as Tiffany & Co., with the additional text New York and Paris-London. The case is constructed with a brass push-button latch and a multi-part brass hinge. 4.25 inches by 4.25 inches. The exterior leather exhibits significant age-related wear, including extensive scuffing and finish loss along the lid and edges that reveals the tan underlying material. The interior is in good condition for its age, showing minor fraying at the silk hinge and light fading to the gold-tone stamped lettering. The brass hardware is functional and shows a natural aged patina.
