A Trio of Vintage Boyce Moto-Meter Radiator Caps and Temperature Gauges - This collection features three vintage automotive radiator components manufactured by the Boyce Moto-Meter Company of Long Island City, New York, dating approximately to the 1910s through the 1920s. The first item is a Boyce Moto-Meter Midget Model temperature gauge mounted on a decorative dog bone style radiator cap with curved arms and bulbous terminals. The gauge dial identifies the manufacturer and model, while the reverse provides a temperature scale with readings for Danger, Steam, Summer, and Average. The second item consists of a Boyce Moto-Meter temperature gauge mounted on a straight-arm radiator cap featuring ball-end terminals and a hexagonal nut base for installation. The third item is a radiator cap base with a threaded interior and a circular top insert inscribed with Remove to Install Boyce Moto-Meter. These accessories were designed to allow early motorists to monitor engine cooling system temperatures from the driver seat. The lot is in fair to poor condition, exhibiting signs of heavy use and age. All metal surfaces show significant oxidation, pitting, and accumulated dirt. The dog bone radiator cap has a large dent on one of the bulbous arm terminals. The straight-arm gauge has a shattered glass face with missing fragments.
